As the mornings start to get chilly in Sydney you know it’s that time again to start letting go of summer and prepping for Winter, which means wardrobe swaps: out with the flimsy and in with the woolly. I can’t help but want to hang on that little bit longer to the summer and found myself day dreaming back to last year when I escaped the Australian Winter and headed straight to Greece to chase the summer in the beautiful islands.

A little something different with this travel diaries post but if you are ever after a getaway that equals luxury x summer x style, the Greeks islands is your answer to all three. We jumped between Santorini, Mykonos & Crete and it was instant love with all three. Bright whites, stunning blues and views that take your breath away it honestly feels like you’re in a dream every moment you spend in these magical places.

We stayed at Villa Ilias Caldera Hotel in Santorini which is just outside beautiful Fira and in Mykonos, La Veranda of Mykonos and both were just outside the main centre of town but had the most amazing views looking back down at the heart of these stunning locations. Travel advice? Pack light! I found myself running around in bikinis and in light summer clothing. It gets really hot (obviously) so you don’t need much plus the shopping is pretty good so I picked up a few beauties anyway.

Wardrobe notes: yes it’s boiling hot and yes I wore all black the entire time. Celebrities, millionaires and stylish people are everywhere so there was definitely no daggy beach kits to be seen on me. If you’re stuck on what to wear and what to pack read my TAKE ME TO GREECE post here for tips.

So if you’re on the hunt for your next getaway and you haven’t considered the Greek Islands yet, you are insane. The place is an amazing wonder and there is no place like it on earth. It will forever be my paradise found.
